The Soweto Wine and Lifestyle Festival (4-6 September 2015) is a weekend of fun, fashion, innovation, food and wine; and has grown over the past ten years to become one of the most sought-after wine festivals in the country. It coincides with tourism month and is the perfect platform to share Soweto’s stories, past and present, with the world.
Travel destinations exhibit alongside wineries and upmarket lifestyle brands, bringing together a high-end lifestyle experience attracting a large and influential audience. The festival attracts up to 10 000 visitors annually, as well as wineries from across South Africa, tourism stakeholders, lifestyle brands and corporate exhibitors.
This year’s festival will see wine tourism and innovation in destination marketing coming together in a digital campaign for the Soweto Wine Festival and Gauteng Tourism called #72hrsSoweto, developed by Destinate and co-managed with Flow Communications.
